SJ police investigate city's sixth homicide of year

Police are investigating a homicide in San Jose this morning after a man was found suffering from stab wounds behind a building in the city, according to a police spokesman.

At 12:58 a.m., police responded to a stabbing victim behind a building in the 500 block of Wooster Avenue, Officer Jermaine Thomas said.

Officers found an adult male who had been stabbed, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the possibility that the victim was a transient, Thomas said.

As of 2:15 a.m., no arrests had been made in the case.

The stabbing was the city's sixth homicide of the year, Thomas said.
