CA to undergo modest economic recovery

LOS ANGELES

UCLA's quarterly Anderson Forecast says green jobs such solar panel installers, wind farm workers and other green jobs won't be strong enough to significantly reduce the state's unemployment rate of 12.5 percent.

Researchers predict California's economy will begin picking up slightly at the beginning of next year, but they say the state will not produce enough jobs to bring the jobless rate under the national average of 10 percent until 2012.
