Highway Patrol got a call around 1:30 Wednesday morning saying there was a man down on the sidewalk at the intersection of Meekland and Sunset Boulevards.
CHP officers determined the victim was dead and shut down that intersection for the investigation.
While the man's name has not been released, he's been identified as a 19-year-old San Leandro man.
