Woman arrested for providing drugs to children

ROHNERT PARK, CA

Traci Perry, a Rohnert Park resident, was arrested after investigators received information Friday that she was allegedly providing methamphetamine and other drugs to her three juvenile children and their friends.

At about 3:25 p.m. Friday, a detective conducted a traffic stop on Perry's car for vehicle code violations, according to the department.

Perry was driving the vehicle with a 16-year-old boy who was not her son in the passenger seat. The 16-year-old was found to be in possession of what is suspected to be methamphetamine.

A small amount of marijuana was also found in the vehicle along with a bottle with a substance that Perry said was a Russian drug that is unlicensed in the United States according to the department.

A search warrant was obtained for Perry's apartment, where investigators found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a large jug of a liquid said to be a powerful hallucinogenic. All the drugs and paraphernalia were in areas accessible to the children, according to the department.

Perry was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of marijuana.

She later admitted to allowing her children and their friends to use drugs at her apartment and also providing drugs to them, according to the department.

She was booked into Sonoma County jail while the three children were taken into protective custody.

Additional charges are also being sought against Perry for contributing to the delinquency of a minor, maintaining a residence for unlawful activities, and furnishing controlled substances, according to the department.
