Jerry Brown makes stop at Google

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA

Brown sat down with CEO Eric Schmidt at the company's headquarters in Mountain View, for what has become a campaign stop for many politicians running for office.

The appearance comes three days after Republican Meg Whitman announced she had tossed another $20 million of her own money into her campaign for governor.

Brown says he has spent far less than either Whitman or Republican Steve Poizner.

"These other candidates, I think Whitmans' spent already $50 million, I think Steve has spent $3 or $4 million. That's an enormous sum of money, I've spent probably $500,000," Brown said.

Poizner is the next candidate headed for Google. He'll be there Tuesday.
