Two San Jose teens accused of murdering their friend have pleaded not guilty.

Jae Williams and Randy Thompson are charged in the stabbing death of Santa Teresa High School sophomore Michael Russell in his backyard in November.

Investigators say Williams originally confessed to the crime two days after the killing. Thompson told police he was at the victim's home that night, but says he did not take part in the stabbing.
