On Saturday, the San Francisco Democrat met with Hamid Karzai just two days before the Afghan president makes a crucial trip to Washington DC.
President Karzai and the White House are trying to improve their often times rocky relationship during a time when the U.S. is sending more American troops into the country.
During her visit, Speaker Pelosi also met with General Stanley McChrystal. She also plans to sit down with female U.S. marines.
