Phony campaign mailers spark investigation in SJ

kgo
By ABC7
SAN JOSE, CA

The mailers, which were sent to Vietnamese residents, show Fifth District candidate Magdalena Carrasco waving the flag of Communist Vietnam. The mailers were designed to look like Carrasco sent them, a violation of campaign laws.

In a statement, Mayor Chuck Reed said the phony mailers were "a new low in San Jose campaigns and should be condemned by everyone."
