The Business Confidence Survey shows 58 percent of 500 local CEOs and top executives think local economic conditions have improved in the last six months.
Only 36 percent of the executives felt the same way in the last survey three months ago.
The confidence doesn't necessary mean more jobs are coming, though.
About 29 percent plan to hire more workers in the next six months, but 55 percent plan to stay the same.
