Officers were notified at 4:45 p.m. Wednesday that a child had fallen out of a window at 4100 Allendale Ave. in Oakland, communications manager Marcus Walton said.
The child was taken to Children's Hospital Oakland for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing, and Walton said he expects to have more details later today.
