UCSF study help understand telometers

July 5, 2010 2:08:49 PM PDT
Bay Area women who volunteer for a new UCSF study will be among the first in the world to learn the length of their "telomeres."

They are the protective caps at the end of chromosomes. Researchers think the length of telomeres might reveal information about health.

They're looking for healthy women ages 50 to 65 to participate in the study. If you are interested in volunteering, call (415) 476-7634 or e-mail knowyourtelomeres@ucsf.edu
