A motorcycle officer heard several shots about 12:15 p.m. near 79th Avenue and Bancroft. He spotted a victim on the ground and someone leaving the scene.
The officer tried to chase the shooter, but lost him.
Investigators say the victim was shot multiple times. His condition is unknown.
