Iraqi veteran Christian Valle had the honors of throwing out the first pitch. He got to share his special moment with his family, including his one-month-old daughter.
"Oakland A's are my favorite team, and to be given the honor of throwing out the first pitch means a lot to me. Hopefully I don't mess it up because I'm excited to do it," he said.
Valle made his family and his fellow soldiers proud. He says it is great to see people supporting the soldiers who have returned home and those still fighting.
