The driver was traveling at high speeds when the Volkswagen Jetta went off the road just before 8:40 p.m. near the intersection of Vaca Valley Road and Pleasants Valley Road in unincorporated Solano County, CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano said.
The car was carrying six people, and the driver died in the crash, Caggiano said.
He said both the driver and front passenger were airlifted to the trauma center at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where the passenger was treated for major injuries.
The other passengers were taken to the Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa and treated for injuries sustained in the crash, Caggiano said. One 17-year-old boy injured his right femur.
The accident was still under investigation tonight.
