3.5 magnitude quake rattles E. San Diego Co.

SAN DIEGO, CA

The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude 3.5 quake struck at 9:41 a.m. about two miles south-southeast of Ocotillo.

A sheriff's dispatcher says there have been no calls about the quake in the rural area 90 miles east of downtown San Diego.

The Imperial Valley region has been shaken frequently since a magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck just south of the border in Mexicali on Easter Sunday, with moderate aftershocks sometimes occurring four or five times a day.
