Assm. Dave Jones, D-Sacramento, says he authored the bill after angry pet owners complained about being mislead about what their pet insurance covered or not covered.
"The bill says you've got to tell people that before they buy your product. It also requires them to list exactly what fee schedule they will cover and provide other information so consumers can make informed choices," Jones said.
There's no word on whether Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger plans to sign the bill.
