It was a scary afternoon for people who live in two separate buildings that caught fire in Oakland Wednesday.

Firefighters worked to control fire at 60th Street and Martin Luther King Way. The building sustained heavy fire and smoke damage in the attic.

Over on Seminary Avenue, fire displaced about 20 people who live in an apartment building. The blaze caused about $100,000 in damages, but no one was hurt.
