Study: Daughters cause more divorces than sons

LOS ANGELES

UCLA and University of Rochester researchers have found that divorce rates go up with every girl.

Parents of three girls are ten percent more likely to split -- than parents of three boys.

Previous research suggested maybe fathers prefer boys and will work harder at keeping up their marriage. But this study concludes wives with daughters are less likely to stay with bad husbands because they know they'll never be lonely or without help.
