The accident was reported at about 8:50 a.m. on U.S. Highway 101 just south of the bridge's toll plaza.
Traffic in both directions was disrupted as emergency crews responded to the scene, CHP Sgt. John Carman said.
Lanes were cleared shortly after 9:30 a.m.
