Caltrain posts new suicide prevention signs
It is spending $110,000 on 250 'this is help' signs with a crisis hotline number to call. Calls to a local crisis intervention center will be tracked to try to measure the effectiveness of the signs.
From 2006 to 2008, 27 people committed suicide on Caltrain tracks in San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.
