Bonnie Lowrance took possession of a renovated, foreclosed, three-bedroom home in San Rafael.
She bought it for roughly $297,000 -- a Marin County bargain -- with a zero interest that is a Habitat sponsored mortgage.
She also put in about 500 hours of sweat equity during the re-modeling. Bonnie is especially delighted for her two daughters.
"They're excited, but they don't want to leave their home that they know, but then it's like, 'Oh mom we can do this, we can get a dog, oh maybe we better start with a bird.' I think they're going to really like it," said Lowrance.
This is Habitat For Humanity's second Marin County project, the first was a home in Novato.
