It's all part of a promotion called "Try BART Week."
To enter BART riders will need to text in a "BART word of the day" which will be flashed over station message boards.
The prizes include chocolates, gift cards and a grand prize of $2,500 in BART tickets.
ABC7's Frances Dinglasen is taking part in the campaign kickoff event. It will take place from noon to 1 p.m. at the 12th Street/Oakland City Center BART station.
