PG&E explains failure to talk to investigators

SAN BRUNO, CA

The workers played a key role in responding to a power outage at a transmission facility in Milpitas that caused pressure in the line to build. They also helped coordinate the emergency response to the explosion that killed eight people and destroyed dozens of homes.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports that the two employees were too traumatized to speak to investigators. PG&E says all employees involved have been made available to be interviewed by investigators.
