One man dies Monday night in Marina shooting

Emergency responders arrived at Gravity Room at 3251 Scott St. shortly after midnight, according to a fire dispatcher, and found one victim with gunshot wounds.

San Francisco police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza confirmed that a shooting occurred at a bar in the 3200 block of Scott Street at 11:58 p.m.

Officers located the 22-year-old male victim, and the injured man was transported by ambulance, but died a short while later, Esparza said.

The victim had been transported to San Francisco General Hospital, according to the fire dispatcher.

Police have yet to develop a solid suspect description, Esparza said, but are possibly looking for a black male in his early 20s.

During the ongoing homicide investigation, police will review surveillance footage, if available, to flesh out the description. Witnesses who were at the crowded bar are also being interviewed, Esparza said.

Anyone with information about the homicide is asked to contact the San Francisco police by calling the anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or (415) TIPS-411.
