Body found in Oakland estuary

OAKLAND, Calif.

On Tuesday, a bird photographer called police at about 3:30 p.m. after finding the body of a partially clothed woman on some rocks off Doolittle Drive.

Police were still at the scene late into the night.

The Oakland Tribune is reporting that she had been shot several times and her throat was slit.

The woman appears to be African American or possibly Latino in her late 20's or early 30's.

A $10,000 reward was quickly posted for information leading to the arrest of the killer.
