Local construction workers continue to protest outside UCSF's $1.7 billion Mission Bay hospital project.

They are demanding the projects employ construction workers from local neighborhoods. The San Francisco board of supervisors recently adopted a law that guarantees local workers access to city projects.

In a statement UCSF wrote it "is committed to developing and maintaining relationships with the neighborhoods that house its campuses and has a history of collaboration with its neighbors."
