SJ community colleges ordered to make changes

A state panel has ordered San Jose City College and Evergreen Valley College to fix problems with their finances, planning and other areas or risk losing their accreditation.

The two schools serve more than 20,000 students.

This comes after a civil grand jury determined two years ago the college system's former chancellor violated several polices and called her travel excessive. Rosa Perez took 39 domestic and overseas trips during her four years on the job.
