Second suspect arrested for January murder

VALLEJO, Calif.

Tion Alonzo Grimmett Hill Sr., 27, is suspected of killing 27-year-old Cacee Savella of Alameda, according to police.

Savella's body was found in the front seat of a Ford Tempo parked at the dead end of Dublin Drive in Vallejo around 5 a.m. on Jan. 22.

Vallejo police said two men were seen near the car and they ran when officers arrived.

Police arrested the first suspect, Virshon Darian Ruff, 23, around 7:15 a.m. on Jan. 22 after he was found hiding in a yard on Corcoran Avenue, police said. They then obtained an arrest warrant for Hill, also known as Tito LaFlare.

On Wednesday, Vallejo police detectives began surveillance on an apartment in the 800 block of Bryte Avenue in West Sacramento, Lt. Ken Weaver said.

Hill was seen leaving the apartment, and detectives obtained a search warrant for the home, Weaver said.

The West Sacramento Police Department and the Yolo County SWAT unit helped Vallejo police arrest Hill at the apartment early Thursday morning, Weaver said. Hill was booked into Solano County Jail for murder.
