Suspects sought after chase and crash in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif.

A car went into a closed business after being hit by a car that police were chasing. A green Chrysler led police on a five minute high speed chase through East Oakland. Police said the car was being driven by suspect Lloyd Anderson when it hit a gray Buick. The Chrysler and the Buick caught fire after the collision. Police said Anderson ran from the car right after the crash. A woman who was in the car with Anderson was removed from it by a police officer, she then ran away. Police searched for Anderson and the woman for about an hour without any results.

Anderson is described as African American, 5'7" to 5'8" wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He also has a cast on his right hand. Police say he is believed to be armed. The woman is also about 5'7" and wore a t-shirt and blue jeans.

A bystander took the innocent victim to the hospital. The bystander said the innocent victim seemed very disoriented, was badly shaken up, but didn't seem to have any life threatening injuries.
