Oakland police say they are closing an investigation into accounts by students that second graders were involved in sexual acts in a classroom. The incident happened last month at Markham Elementary School.

Oakland police told ABC7 media partner, the Oakland Tribune, that no criminal charges will be filed.

Investigators believe the students were telling the truth, but found no evidence that adults participated in the acts. A teacher was put on paid administrative leave and that teacher has denied knowing anything about the behavior.
