The truck, carrying 20 tons of juice boxes, smashed into at least two cars on the northbound I-880 near the turnoff for I-980 around 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
No injuries were reported.
About 100 gallons of diesel fuel leaked from the big rig. The truck also smashed into the sand barrels near a freeway exit.
Witnesses reported seeing a mattress and other debris in the road before the crash. However, the CHP is trying to figure out exactly what caused the accident.
