Stanford taking hard line against 'jock class' list

It's told its resource center for athletes to stop distributing a list called 'courses of interest' such as 'Beginning Improvising' or 'Social Dances of North America.'

Students say athletes often took those classes to keep up their grade point average, a requirement to play. Stanford has in the past maintained the courses on that list are academically rigorous.
