PG&E has set up a $70 million trust fund to cover San Bruno's costs of last September's deadly gas pipeline explosion. The terms of the fund will be formally presented at Tuesday night's City Council meeting.

The San Jose Mercury News reports the utility has deposited the first $12 million into the account, which is administered by a third party trustee.

Wednesday, a public town hall meeting will be held by Rep. Jackie Speier, D-Hillsborough, and other public officials to discuss a long-term recovery plan from the disaster.

The explosion killed eight people and destroyed dozens of homes.
