The crash was reported at about 11:25 a.m., CHP Officer Kevin Bartlett said. Due to the rough terrain, a helicopter was called to assist with the crash in Marin County.
A Sig-alert was issued at about 12:05 p.m. Both the north and southbound lanes remained blocked as of 12:35. The PT Cruiser still needed to be recovered and the coroner was en route at that time, Bartlett said.
No one else was in the car, and no other vehicles were involved.
