Man injured in Tuesday night shooting

SAN JOSE, Calif.

Officers responded to an area near Tully Road and McLaughlin Avenue at around 9:20 p.m. after receiving reports that shots had been fired. Police did not find anyone at the scene, Officer Jose Garcia said.

About 10 minutes later, police received word from a local hospital that a 28-year-old man had been admitted for gunshot wounds. His injuries were not life-threatening.

The man told hospital employees that he had been shot near Tully Road and McLaughlin Avenue, Garcia said.

"We're still looking into the motive and whether the victim knows the suspect or suspects," Garcia said.
