Millions of people, all around the world, will see the doodling of a boy from South San Francisco when they Google something on Friday. You may have already seen 8-year-old Matteo Lopez's work on Google's homepage on Thursday night. Matteo entered a contest called "Doodle for Google."

The contest challenged kids to come up with a logo inspired by the theme "What I'd like to be someday." Matteo says he wants to be a space explorer someday. He calls his drawing "Space Life" and on Thursday night, he told us how he felt when he learned about winning the contest.

He said he felt, "Excited, exciting, surprised, happy."

The second grader will receive a $15,000 college scholarship at a ceremony in New York City on Friday. His school, Monte Verde elementary, will get a $25,000 technology grant.
