Police investigate collision involving pedestrian

San Jose police are investigating a collision that injured a pedestrian Wednesday morning.

The accident happened on southbound Monterey Road at Southside Drive, according to police.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to Regional Medical Center of San Jose. Police did not immediately know his condition.

The driver remained at the scene and was questioned by investigators.

Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the collision.
