Voltage Pictures, the studio behind the 2009 movie "The Hurt Locker" is suing 25,000 people for allegedly downloading the movie illegally.

The studio is targeting people who used BitTorrent to download the movie. BitTorrent is free software that lets users swap and download large media files. The company's CEO said BitTorrent merely provides the software, but cannot control what its customers do with it.

Another 23,000 BitTorrent customers are being sued for downloading "The Expendables."
