Tina Ybarra: Our first profile highlights a woman who doesn't let her disability keep her from an active life. Tina Ybarra and the folks at the Bay Area Outreach and Recreation Program (BORP) make sure that people with disabilities can enjoy sports and the great outdoors.

Dr. Mohammad Qayoumi has served as President of Cal State East Bay in Hayward since 2006. Under his leadership, the university now boasts enrollment growth, no budget deficit, and a beautiful campus extension.

Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archiveis the backdrop of our special program. BAM-PFA is the visual arts center of the University of California at Berkeley, the nation's leading public research university. A major survey exhibition on display is called "Create," and it brings together work made at three pioneering centers for artist with developmental disabilities – Creative Growth Art Center in Oakland, San Francisco's Creativity Explored, and NIAD Art Center in Richmond. "Create" showcases twenty artists whose work exemplifies the talent, independence, and depth of feeling that makes the most powerful art possible.
