A Bay Area bride has won second place in an unusual contest -- wedding dresses made of toilet paper. Laura Lee of Milpitas made a dress using five rolls of one-ply paper, transparent duct tape, first aid tape and spray adhesive.

The grand prize of $1,000 went to Susan Brennan of Michigan, with a classically styled gown that included flowers, feathers and pleats on the bodice.

Dresses were judged on beauty, creativity, originality and the use of toilet paper.
