The large police presence was made up of Hayward police, the investigations unit, CSI, and the coroner. However, they released very little information.
Around 5:30 p.m., an African-American man in his 20s was parked in a gold-colored Cadillac. While the victim sat inside of his car, another man walked up and shot him several times at close range and ran away.
The suspect was only described as a man wearing a black hoodie.
There were several witnesses at the time of the shooting.
Police don't think this is gang related, but they also do think that the victim was a targeted person.
