Investigators aren't sure what caused the television tower to begin burning in Hoogersmilde Friday afternoon, but the impact from losing the tower was widespread.
The tower collapsed after burning for several minutes.
Television was knocked out to the area serviced by the tower, as were radio and mobile phone signals.
There were no injuries.
