Darrell Sales and other riders left the South Bay Tuesday morning and by the afternoon arrived at the Golden Gate Bridge.
Sales plans on riding 100 miles per day for 39 straight days, arriving at Ground Zero in time for the 10th anniversary of the terrorist attacks.
Most nights, Sales and the riders that will accompany him will stay at fire stations along the route.
