A study that claimed Internet Explorer users have lower IQ's than people using other browsers was an elaborate Internet hoax.
It turns out it was the work of a comparison shopping website, which created a fake company and a fake report.
It says it wanted to raise awareness about what it called Internet Explorer's "incompatibilities."
