In a fatal shooting just after 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of 10th Street, a victim was shot four times, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he later died, according to the Alameda County coroner's bureau.
A shooting near the West Oakland BART station in the 700 block of Mandela Parkway at about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday left a man with one gunshot wound.
He was taken to the hospital in stable condition, police said. The shootings occurred less than a mile apart.
