Suspects Marvin Norwood and Louie Sanchez are charged with nearly beating Stow to death in the parking lot during the Dodgers home opener in March.
The Dodgers and owner Frank McCourt have filed papers revealing their intention to sue the duo. Legal analysts say the suit is designed to put the responsibility for the attack on the two defendants.
Stow's family sued the Dodgers in May, blaming poor security, poor lighting and poor response time for the beating.
