College students who've been worrying there won't be any jobs when they graduate got some uplifting news today.

Hiring of grads is expected to go up by about 13 percent this upcoming year compared to last year.

A new survey shows salaries for recent graduates also rose by six percent this year.

They now pull in an about $51,000 per year on average.

The biggest salary increases are in computer science and petroleum engineering.

The rest of us received much lower raises this year averaging less than 2 percent.
