Fire in Oakland near Hwy 24, I-580 interchange

One person was injured when a fire broke out in 3,000 square foot live/work space in Oakland this morning.

The fire started around 6:30 a.m. in a building on the 3600 block of West Street. Firefighters pulled one person from the structure, suffering from smoke inhalation. That person is expected to survive.

Fire inspectors are still on scene, but there is still no indication of what caused the fire.
