Doctor Hank Klopping was welcomed back to the school with hugs by his current and former students. Klooping was at the school because the theater at the campus was renamed in his honor.
When Klopping started as superintendent in 1975, there was only one deaf teacher.
Today, the school's superintendent, who is a former student, is deaf.
