The 16th annual HIREvent starts at noon in San Francisco at the Hotel Whitcomb on Market Street.
About 400 people showed up to job fair co-sponsored by ABC7 on Tuesday in Concord. The job fair at the Hotel Whitcomb is expected to be even larger.
There will be many vendors in the customer service and administrative fields at Wednesday's job fair.
Stephanie Simmons, a branch manager for Manpower, is one of several employers at Wednesday's job fair. Simmons said Manpower is seeking to fill 25 positions ranging from entry-level bookkeeping to sales manager.
"Manpower's employment outlook survey for the Bay area shows a net 8 percent increase in employers (who) want to hire," said Simmons.
There will be 185 positions open altogether at the job fair. The fair goes from noon to 4 p.m.
